Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele’s favorite watch model, Happy Sport, can be called a symbol of the era without exaggeration. Since 1993, the elegant union of steel and movable diamonds has become one of the most famous success stories in the world of watchmaking. An incomparable masterpiece of modern classics produced in various versions instantly becomes an indispensable companion for successful and self-confident women. The Happy Sport luxury watch has become an object of an iconic design in which diamonds freely circle the dial in a shimmering vortex.

In 2006, Chopard gave the Happy Sport timepiece a new, up-to-date look – an elongated case, a flat bezel, and a bracelet whose links change their rounded shapes to more graphic design. A version of 18-carat rose gold is the real embodiment of a refined female ideal. In 2008, the new Happy Sport Chrono chronograph was presented in a case made of white high-tech ceramics, characterized by extraordinary lightness and strength, and a rose gold bezel with diamonds, and a white rubber strap. The design of the dial stood out for its originality, thanks to large Roman numerals of classic and elegant style, three chronograph sub-counters, and five graceful moving diamonds.

Currently, Happy Sport luxury watches are available in round, square, or oval versions. Each of them has an individual character and creates its own special atmosphere for moving diamonds that begin to spin and sparkle at the slightest movement of the hand.

In late 2019, the Happy Sport product line has been supplemented with a charming Happy Moon model with a lunar phase indicator. The 250-copy series equipped with rose gold cases is an example of a masterpiece of mechanics and poetry.

The first Happy Sport luxury watch with astronomical complication is the pinnacle of technical complexity, impeccable finish, and functionality. Seven movable diamonds that roll freely on the dial with each movement have become a unique feature of the collection, thanks to which the popularity of these lavish timekeeping devices does not decline even after 26 years after its appearance. As a model with a lunar phase indicator should be, the Happy Moon wristwatch is equipped with a lot of point details that indicate their specifics.

The case and bezel of the Happy Moon model are made of 18-carat ethical rose gold – since July 2018, Chopard uses this gold for all its products. Diamonds are encrusted in the bezel in the technique of snow setting. The background for the hands in this stunning timepiece is aventurine glass, which is easily recognized by the rich blue color and chaotic inclusions in the form of shimmering sequins. Completing the similarity with the night sky are golden threads and “carnations” that depict the most famous constellations of the northern hemisphere. The second-hand counter at 6 o’clock is made in the form of a polar star. The moon phase indicator is located at the top of the dial, right under the Chopard logo.

Under the dial, there is a caliber 96.25-C, which came out of the walls of the Chopard manufactory, where the mechanism was designed and manufactured from A to Z. It is a self-winding mechanism with a micro-rotor, which makes this luxury watch, on the one hand, – comfortable to wear in everyday life, on the other – gives the case an elegant subtlety characteristic of a women’s accessory. The case dimensions are 36 x 12.29 millimeters. The movement has a 65-hour power reserve, which is a rarity for women’s timepieces, as well as a COSC chronometer certificate.

The accuracy of the lunar cycle indication is such that the daily error of the mechanism will accumulate only after 122 years of stable operation.
