Geometrical patterns do not lose their relevance even when it comes to luxury watches. Today, we will look at two fantastic new products from the giants of the watch-producing world – Bvlgari and Hublot.

Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Tadao Ando Edition

The Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Automatic model, which can be attributed to the category of the thinnest wristwatches in the world, has found a new appearance thanks to the Japanese architect Tadao Ando, the winner of the Pritzker prize in 1995, known for a host of other outstanding projects.

The dial of the Octo Finissimo Tadao Ando Edition timepiece is decorated with a black lacquer geometric pattern in the form of concentric circles that radiate from the small second hand, creating the effect of a pulsating wave. The second hand here is shifted from the usual 6-o’clock position to the sector between the 7 and 8 o’clock. The hour and minute hands are fixed in the center. And that’s it. No hour markers, no Bvlgari logo.

The series is presented in 200 copies. The size of the luxury watch from Bvlgari is the same as the standard version of the model – 40 x 5.15 millimeters. Inside the titanium case, the automatic caliber BVL 138, equipped with a platinum micro-rotor, operates. Despite the ultra-thin format, the mechanism provides the refined timekeeping device with a comfortable 60-hour power reserve.

On the caseback with an insert of sapphire glass, you can see the autograph of Tadao Ando, under which you can observe the design of the mechanism. Alongside the standard Octo Finissimo Automatic models, the case of the exclusive Bvlgari novelty is equipped with a 2.5-mm thick bracelet. As for the estimated cost of the wristwatch, which will be available only in the Japanese market, it is ¥1,800,000 or $16,500.

Hublot Big Bang One Click Sang Bleu

On November 19, 2019, Moscow hosted a party on the occasion of the presentation of the new female model created by the masters of the Hublot brand. We are talking about the Hublot Big Bang One Click Sang Bleu Steel Turquoise luxury watch explicitly produced for the Russian watch market.

CEO of Hublot Ricardo Guadalupe and tattoo artist Maxime Plescia-Buchi, founder of the Sang Bleu Studio, presented the gorgeous novelty. The timekeeping device has a 39-mm steel case and a turquoise dial framed by a chain of 48 diamonds. The geometric motifs in the dial design are reminiscent of the art of tattooing. The time on the Hublot timepiece is displayed using three discs, the index segments of which are covered with phosphor. The discs are driven by the caliber HUB1710 equipped with a self-winding movement and a 50-hour power reserve.

The case is set on a turquoise Schedoni calfskin strap, on which you can also see a pattern of geometrical shapes. The strap is equipped with the patented One-Click system, which allows you to replace the strap without special tools if necessary. The Hublot Big Bang One Click Sang Bleu Steel Turquoise series is limited to 50 copies.

In our collection of pre-owned luxury watches, you will find a galore of impeccable, top-quality models with geometric design from the world’s best brands.
