The famous watch manufacturer, Franck Muller company has repeatedly represented the unusual high-end watch, the hands of which show the time in a non-standard way. It would be enough just to recall the Crazy Hours unique wristwatches, where the numbers on the hour scale are scattered as if in random order, and the hands move from hour mark to mark, restoring the usual logic. Another great example is Secret Hours bizarre models, where the hands froze at the 12-o’clock position and show the time only when you press a special button. In 2019, under the Franck Muller brand was released another series of incredible time devices with an extraordinary approach to time display design.
The main feature of the Remember high-end watches (the timepiece is presented in rose and white gold, as well as in the steel version) is the hands going in the opposite direction. Strictly speaking, there is nothing extremely unusual in here, since the idea of the reverse hands' movement was first introduced in the nineteenth-century pocket watches and occasionally finds expression in modern models in different price ranges. However, this did not deter Franck Muller to offer its option on a given topic.
To implement the idea, the “maestro of complications” Franck Muller brand took as a basis the automatic caliber ETA 2892 and added to it a few transmission wheels, turning it into a new mechanism – FM 2800 INV. In addition to several versions of the implementation, this high-end watch has two size options – 36 x 50.4 mm and 31 x 43 mm. If you look at the dial, in the guilloché motif you can see the remembrance of the Crazy Hours collection – the hour and minute dial, characteristic of this watch line.
Another remarkable novelty that was presented by Franck Muller company will appeal to lovers of high-end watches on the maritime theme. The marine style of the Vanguard Yachting Anchor™ Skeleton can be seen in the color chosen for the wristwatch – details of the mechanism are open for view, the screw-down crown stops and the hand-stitched nylon strap are painted blue (the bridges of the mechanism are made of anodized aluminum). In the area of the second counter, located at the bottom of the dial, you can see such a “nautical” detail as the wind rose.
The case size is 44 x 53.70 x 12.65 millimeters. In addition to the steel version, this amazing timepiece is available in 18-karat rose, yellow and white gold, as well as in bronze. An alternative version of the model is additionally equipped with a power reserve indicator.
This fashionable time device is powered by the caliber FM 1740-VS. Assembled from 175 parts (including 21 jewels), the 18,000 PCs/h balance gear is equipped with a manual winding and unbelievable 7-day power reserve.
